Parrish Group, Inc.

Hermitage One BuildingLet’s say you’ve wanted to get your teeth fixed half your life and you’re finally ready to do it. You make an appointment with a cosmetic dentist, but the cost is going to be a budget buster. Charging it to your credit card is an option, but you’d rather keep that for emergencies.

Your dentist offers a solution: You can apply for a new line of credit to cover the procedure. Even better: Financing is available interest free for 12, 18 or 24 months.

Through this proposal, your dentist has just introduced you to a company called Unicorn Financial Services. Headquartered in Tallahassee with offices in Chicago and Mesa, Arizona, Unicorn packages financing programs for doctors and dentists, so they can offer payment alternatives to their patients. Other common elective procedures not covered by insurance include hair restoration, vision correction and cosmetic surgery.

Unicorn’s program is so user friendly, patients can apply for credit from the doctor’s office and have an answer in minutes.

Considering the growing interest in elective medical and dental procedures, it’s no wonder that Unicorn’s business grew 39% in 2005. Rapid growth is one of the reasons the company’s Chairman/CEO, Jay Landers, felt good about moving into a Parrish Group building two years ago.

“We were able to design the space just the way we wanted,” Landers says. “We maximized the square footage for greater efficiency.”

And because Parrish Group owns more than 50% of available office space in northeast Tallahassee, Landers is confident Unicorn’s growth won’t require major surgery in the future.

“As we grow, I expect that Parrish Group will take care of our needs somehow,” he said.
