Not
many companies can claim to be both family operated and publicly traded.
Then again, Hilb, Rogal & Hobbs of Florida/Hunt Insurance Group
has built its name on the unconventional. The company specializes in
creating alternative insurance products for professions that are difficult
to insure.
Shortly after John Hunt Sr. founded Hunt Insurance Group in 1945, he made his sole focus helping Sheriffs in Florida curb their outrageously high insurance rates. He developed a proprietary self insurance fund in 1978, which has helped counties save millions of dollars in claims.
As other industries sought similar solutions, Hunt's company grew. Though they renovated their Centerville Road offices, growth that followed a merger with the publicly-traded Hilb, Rogal and Hobbs in 1998 forced them to look for more practical office space.
Enter Parrish Group and their Maclay II office building on Maclay Commerce Boulevard.
The match was made and in May 2003, HRH/Hunt Insurance Group relocated their 50-plus employee firm from limited 11,000 sq. ft. quarters, to spacious and technologically-advanced 17,000 sq. ft. offices.
Though the company is now part of the sixth largest insurance agencies/brokers in the U.S., tenth largest in the world, HRH/Hunt Insurance Group hasn't abandoned its roots. It is still family operated and, of course, is still solving problems. They're now applying their innovative methods of developing affordable insurance solutions to healthcare entities, senior living facilities and associations.
Parrish Group and HRH/Hunt is a partnership built on a common denominator: problem solving.
Consider this problem solved.
